Odd Product Review: A MUST READ FOR MAKEUP WEARERS WITH OILY SKIN!!!!!!!!

I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THIS, I COULD TEAR UP!!!!!! lol :)

Dear Readers, if I have any lol. Pls allow me to rant here a lil.... For years, I've been wearing makeup. Bright colored shadows for fun, but moreso foundation &/or concealer to mask my acne marks & freckles. Thank the heavens, I've outgrown the acne for the most part
& I do ok with hiding the marks that refuse to lighten up (*adds pun :)*), but I'm still struggling with an oil slick issue that seeps through my product. I mean, I've tried everything to control it ....cheap, moderately priced & expensive. They ask take care of the problem momentarily/temporarily, but I'm always shiny again soon after. Well yesterday honey, after taking a ton of pix when my nephews & seeing how bad it was caught on cam, I was too pissed! I started googling & youtubing- trying to find out what the hell other makeup fanatics were doing to prevent this. What I found was unexpected. Behold! A miracle cure from Jesus himself ==> Dabbing a lil Milk of Magnesia (MoM) on the face...

Now I'm sure there are ppl who are reluctant to use products on or even in areas of the body they are not intended for. Well in this particular case, I ain't one of them. Plus, after all, it's 2 days after Thanksgiving. This here MoM may be on double duty! lol After hearing great reviews, I hauled to the store to pick up the laxative. Came home, only to discover that I picked up the Cherry flavored one by accident. I screamed in horror. According to other users & myself, here's a few reasons why...

The cherry & mint flavoring is obviously for taste only. Some say they don't work as well. Others say they cause allergic reactions. I say they are all probably right lol. The added ingredients, such as the red dye in the cherry & citrus acid in the mint, is what probably causes a reaction, among other 'inactive' things. Because us oilies aren't using it for its intended purpose, its best to get the Original kind.

Since Walmart was on the other side of town, I didn't feel like going back. Who knew I'd have to search all of Southwest Philadelphia for the Original flavor??? Ugh, finally, they had the Phillips brand at Family Dollar for a lil over $4, which is a lil more expensive than the Equate brand for under $4 at Walmart. I didn't open the cherry one, so I'm definitely taking it back! lol Anywho...I got back home, washed my face, applied my MAC Oil Control Lotion, (which does help some), dabbed a lil of the MoM on my face (esp concentrating on my problem areas) with a cottonball & continued with my makeup routine. Hrs later, my makeup is still intact & there's no oil in sight!!!!!! Finally, I can live in beat face peace!  :)
