5 Easy Things/Enhancements- For Makeup Newbies

Hola!!! Lol....long time, no speak! I've been a lil fake busy. Anywho, I wanted to talk about 5 things/items that will enhance your look. This is particularly for beginners- makeup newbies

The things I hear repeatedly from women who wear little to no makeup is 'I don't have time to do all that', 'is there a 5 min face I can do' or 'what's quick for everyday wear'? It's usually asked when I'm in the middle of painting a face, so I probably never give a thorough enough answer. I be focused, man
-_____-. Lol Well here's 5 things I believe every woman (or pretty man) should have in their possession to make themselves...well prettier lol. Even if you're not a heavy makeup wearer.

1) Concealer
Even someone with the most flawless skin can benefit from a lil concealer. Putting a lil under the eyes can make you look a fews yrs younger, cover under eye circles or hide signs of restlessness.Choosing a shade a tad lighter is good for under eyes. A shade that matches your complexion perfectly is good to use for covering up unwanted scars, spots & marks. My all time fav concealer is MAC's Studio Fix when I can afford high end :/. LOL My fav drugstore concealers are Black Radiance's concealer stick & Revlon's Photo Ready for full coverage. For a medium coverage, Maybeline FIT

2) Blush
Sweeping a lil color from the apples of your cheeks back twd the top of your ear (stopping @ the hairline) also gives a youthful & awakened appearance. You don't have to choose a heavily pigmented blush if you're not comfortable using it yet. A faint pink looks gorg on lighter tones for everyday wear. I happen to love it on darker complexions as well, given the right shades, but not everyone does. For darker tones, bronzy, brown hues & peach blushes are beautiful. My go to blush is Jordana's Touch of Pink. Its only around $3 @ select Walgreens & Kmarts. My favs to use on darker tones is MAC's Format & Blunt for a more natural look. They're like $15 a pop but they last.

3) Eyeliner
Keep in mind applying eyeliner correctly might take some practice for the makeup challenged lol. Just remember to keep your liner sharpened for a thin clean line if that's what your going for. I don't suggest doing a thick heavy line if you're not good at applying liner. If applied wrong, you may wind up looking older instead of youthful, or like you have a black eye. -_____-  There's a thin line between simply gorg & too much... Literally lol. But lightly filling your waterline (the inner part of your lower lid) or lower lash line (right above your bottom lashes) & the top lid above the lash, brings out the eye & adds depth. I like to fade my liner from the outer corner to the center of my water line for a more natural look. I suggest staying away from creams, gels & liquid liners until your hand becomes steady enough to apply them correctly. My fav liner to use is Wet n Wild's Megalast pencil in black.

4) Mascara
I adore my natural lashes. You'll probably rarely ever see me wear falsies. So, using a great mascara definitely enhances what I have *blinks* lol. However, if you're lashly challenged :) you can most definitely benefit from mascara as well. Even if you skip the eyeliner, you should definitely invest in a good mascara. It is just a beautiful product. Aren't we known for batting our eyes anyway? Lol Nonetheless, Idk the hype about all the different mascaras that are out these days. I personally believe the magic is all in the brush. For shorter lashes, a thinner brush may work well. You may choose a mascara with a thicker/larger brush if your lashes are longer- though I still personal love using a thinner one for these babies *winks*. My all time fav mascara is NYC's Sky Rise. It is absolutely amazing for under $3 in most drugstores except for some Walgreen's here in Philly. *best way to apply mascara is by rolling the brush-extending upward from the lash line out to the ends of your lashes. Also, carefully coating your lower lashes gives the eyes a beautiful pop as well*

5) Lipgloss or lipstick
Need I say more??? Lips are everything! When in doubt, choose a nude. My fav gloss is MAC's Gaga2. Fav go to lipstick is Wet n Wild's Bare It All. *For extra definition & staying power, apply a matching lip liner before gloss or lipstick*

I promise these small things won't take long to do & will absolutely save your life especially on a tired morning lol.
