*Sigh* ....I'm so BROKE its ridiculous. Lol Really...its taking me forever to build my kit & though I try to stay up on popular products, I'm late to get them. That's ok though...When gems finally fall in my good graces, I put them to great use, honey! Lol Such is the case with my very first BH Cosmetics shadow palette.
I've always heard such great raves about BH products- they're so pigmented, they blend well, blah blah, blah. I get jealous when I don't have my own to attest to the greatness. Lol Well, finally, for vday, my mom bought me the 88 Color Palette in Cool Matte, which was $7 (with a $25 purchase). & let me say that this love is real..
When I initially tried it out, I expected it to be more pigmented. Then I realized my cheap brush was absorbing too much of the product, but we'll save that topic for another time. Smh Also, at first, I used a sheer base to prep the eye so the colors weren't very opaque as you can see above.
Then, I used my trusty NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in milk as the base for my lid & my trusty $1 ELF Eyelid Primer in Sheer for the crease fading into the brow to get the bright & smokey look above.
On my bff Ife (above) and Johnetta (below), I used a $3 cream eye primer by Elf as the base...as u can see, the colors are more muted & sheer but still gorg!
Overall, I'm in love with this palette and can't wait to get the 120 2nd Edition (*hint hint if someone wants to get it for me lol)!!
